The Tewkesbury YMCA Railway Society is a friendly non profit making organisation who all share an interest in railways including model railways, standard gauge railways, miniature railways, railway preservation, narrow gauge railways, diesel, electric & steam traction, in the UK & worldwide. The society currently holds over 55 members, young and old, who meet on a weekly basis & take part in an extensive programme of railway related talks, visits & presentations.
When do we meet? Every Tuesday night in the YMCA, Church Street, Tewkesbury. Every fortnight, a guest speaker is invited to give a railway related presentation, which may be a slideshow, a video or a cine show. On the other Tuesday nights, members bring along their own slides, memory sticks, photographs & videos to share with other members.
If you live locally and have an interest in railways, then please do not hesitate to come along on a Tuesday evening. You do not have to be a member to attend our society as you can visit as a guest, if you enjoy your visit then you are more than welcome to join.
